Bending the Rules

Sometimes you have to make concessions to crying babies at 6 in the morning. One of those is allowing her to eat waffles in bed while mommy drinks her coffee and watches the news.

This is selfish on my part, I refuse to give up my morning ritual. I have always had a cup (or two) of coffee before leaving the house in the mornings, sometimes enjoyed while watching the Today show. Some mornings now include chasing Cadence around while I try to get my cup in, but yes, every once in awhile, she enjoys a waffle in bed, while Ava looks on longingly waiting for crumbs.
